Sellers and buyers of discount United States postage

Don’t overlook the opportunity to donate postage to one of your favorite non-profit organizations, if they need it to frank outgoing mail. Consult your tax advisor.

Discount postage is valid postage sold at a discount from its face value. Many persons “invested” in stamps over the years, then learned that stamps don’t ususally go up in value. You see dealers offering yesteryear’s commemoratives well above face value, but that is their selling price, not what they pay for them.

Some businesses and individuals buy discount postage to use up on outgoing mail. If you run a business and want to save money on postage, by all means request a listing under Discount postage buyers.

If you run a store and you sell lots of money orders, it is a good idea to stock envelopes with postage on them, and a sheet of paper inside, for customers mailing money orders away. They need a stamped envelope and a sheet of paper to write something on. Even if they only need a stamp to mail a bill payment, they can use that. The current 47¢ rate can be made with 25¢ and 22¢ commemoratives.

If you have a load of discount postage to sell as an individual, contact a buyer of discount postage, but please do not request a listing here, as it is a one-and-done.

Webmasters: Your home page should display a link saying “discount postage” which should be easy to spot.
